Hair stylist/ disaster?

I made an appointment to go to a salon ive been visiting for quite some time. Friday, I had a new stylist cut my hair. I do not blow dry or straighten my hair, because i don't want damage. I always get compliments on my hair, so I am 100* sure it was not done due to damage, as i trim it every 4 weeks and keep a watch for split ends. I take very good care of my hair. Any ways. My hair touched the bottom of my back, I went in and requested she layer it. Instead she cut half of it at shoulder length and left the other half long. It is so ugly, and does not blend and does not even slightly look like a layer. Im having my wedding in not to long and im afraid. I paid 60 dollars to have her just layer it and instead she gave just whacked half of it across my shoulders. There is no point in crying. Should I say something to the owner who works there, or what? It is the worst hair cut I have ever had. It took me two years to grow and now its ruined, she cut it all choppy and its just so awful. I don't know if I should call and say something to the owner, but she was commenting on how nice it looked when i came in and then, had the audacity to begin randomly laughing while cutting my hair.
