Do you think women have made a mistake by demanding that their husbands be present in the delivery room?

I would prefer, though I am past childbirth age, that the husband wait until the dirty stuff is over and all cleaned up. anyone that says childbirth is a beautiful viewing event never had kids or sadistic. Just meet the new mom in her room where she is calmer and rested. the only people that should witness childbirth are teenage girls of childbearing age because that would scare the crap out of the romance of having a baby. My 2 younger teen sisters watched me give birth and they looked like they were watching a horror movie. I was screaming and pooped allover the table and it is a messy and not a scene that looks beautiful and romantic. My son was 10lbs3oz and for a small person like me that was tough. I had my tubes tied a year later because I swore never to go through that hell again!If the father would rather wait, that is fine. I tell my younger female family and friends to not demand the father to watch something like from that movie, Alien.
